Vietnamese Restaurant Hanging Lanterns recreated in Islington …….

The story behind the install.

Phillip the head master of Mars Montessori Bilingual Nursery had recently visited Vietnam where he had seen lots of colourful lanterns hung in a town square and wanted to recreate this for his school children.

Absolute Project Management contacted Essential Supplies on behalf of Phillip to design and recreate this colourful town square lantern look.

Essential Supplies’ Lighting designer Alex got to work and designed the system using some specially made ES waterproof lamp holders made with Rubber H07 Cable so the system was waterproof.

He then used eye bolts,5mm wire and Barrel Strainers to suspend the rigging wire to attach the lanterns cords.

Bright Nylon Lanterns of all different sizes were used to create an effect.

The install was completed by Alex and Simon Dinsmore of ES Lighting Hire,  in one day.

Phillip was overjoyed with the result. The idea he had was now a reality in this children’s yard.

“I wanted to personally thank your company and Alex on the service that he has provided me over the last few weeks! I’m delighted that you have such a great asset to you team. We received constant communication and Alex really did go out of his way to do this job for us, giving such short timescales. Alex has been very efficient, professional and a pleasure to work with, our client was extremely happy with the insulation of the lights and they look fantastic. Matt was also friendly and helpful in Alex’s absence”
