What are strip lights?

LED strip lights are a versatile way to create ambient lighting in any space, comprising a flexible tape of lighting which can be moulded to fit spaces such as underneath cabinetry or doorways. Strip lights are easy to install and consist of a thin circuit board which has flexible LED ribbon lights spaced out across the light, which can be installed using self-adhesive backing or standard fixings. They operate on a low-voltage DC power and come in various colours and brightness. Some strip lights can be cut down to size which makes them a versatile option for any space in a host of different industries.

When to use strip lights

Strip lights are incredibly flexible and can be used in such a wide variety of places, from stage design and art production to retail displays, hospitality and temporary outdoor marquees. They can be used under cabinets and over doorways, on rails and walkways to guide visitors to each location, and used creatively for set design and artistic endeavours. Strip lights are easy to put in place and take down when no longer needed, so you have versatility for a wide range of applications.
