What are LED PAR can & Traditional PAR Can Lights?
LED Lights have evolved considerably over the years, and now offer excellent performance and durability making them perfect for modern lighting installations and mobile systems. As well as their increasing durability, they are renowned for their low energy consumption and the low heat they produce which makes them safer and reduces the weight of the light, as well as reducing operating costs. They also happen to be preferable for performers as they don’t produce as much heat on stage!
PAR Cans have been an industry staple for many years, typically used within the theatre industry. Traditional PAR cans are effective lights in spots or floods that deliver a powerful white beam. Traditional PAR cans are normally available in two different varieties – a short nose or a long nose can, each designed to portray a different beam.
Birdie PAR Cans provide lighting in a discreet way compared to other lighting systems – smaller in size, they can be hidden in smaller set parts or within a stage setup while providing a bright light when needed. Providing beam control lighting, birdie PAR cans are often used for highlighting and display lighting, making them particularly popular for music events.
