Transformers for Construction Sites
Site transformers are a common addition to workshops, construction sites and large-scale events to provide power to tools, devices and appliances. 110v transformers are commonly used because they deliver lower voltage which reduces safety hazards if a cable becomes damaged in some way. A transformer isolates the supply to prevent overloading so multiple devices and equipment can be powered at the same time.

What are transformers?
Electrical transformers transfer electricity from one circuit to another with a changing voltage, without changing the frequency. They’re used for AC supply meaning that fluctuation in supply voltage is impacted by the fluctuation in current, meaning that more current will increase voltage and vice versa. A transformer ensures that power systems remain safe and efficient, raising and lowering voltage levels when needed. They can be useful in domestic and commercial applications to regulate power across distances.
When to use transformers
Transformers convert the voltage of a device to 110v, and they have several outlet sockets so that different devices or pieces of equipment can be plugged in at the same time to get jobs done quickly. They’re commonly used on construction sites and in industrial settings for this reason but they are also handy to have on-site for events, exhibitions and festivals to plug in tools for constructing stalls and displays, or for sound equipment. They keep everyone on-site safe and prevent the risk of electrical fires.
Explore our range of transformers
We provide electrical transformers in a range of sizes, depending on the size of the event you’re hosting. From small portable transformers that are compact and easy to move to different locations to larger site transformers that provide more outlets for devices and tools, our range of high quality transformers has been thoroughly tested for electrical safety and compliance. Within our range, we offer transformers for different voltage requirements so you can plug in and get to work without having to worry about safety issues from the voltage being too high and powerful.
