What is an AMF Panel?
AMF stands for Automatic Changeover Panel or Automatic Mains Fail Changeover. It is an electrical control panel that monitors the mains supply and can automatically switch to an alternative supply should the prime mains supply fail.
If the main power supply you use it critical, the chances are you will need an AMF panel.

AMF Panel Board Features
Latest Microprocessor Modules
All of our AMF panels use the latest microprocessor-controlled modules to enhance and provide maximum functionality. Various timers are included to prevent nuisance starting of the generator due to minor breaks in the local supply.
Powered by Prime Power Supply
Our boards are powered by the prime power supply requiring no extra batteries. Designed for quick and simple installation in any location, linking both the prime supply and the back-up supply to the main site distribution board.
Portable & Reliable
The AMF panel includes the facility to start or stop a standby generator if it has a remote starting facility with on/off switching. An optional extra is that it can also send SMS text when switching over.
36 Month Warranty
We offer a 3-Year Warranty on all Parts and Manufacturing Defects as standard for our AMF Panel Range. Currently we manufacture a range of AMF enclosures from 32A single to 125A three phase.
How does an AMF Panel Work?
AMF Panels are designed to automatically switch mains supply to a second standby supply if the prime supply fails. There is a short period of time when there is no power available, (normally approximately 30 seconds) while the changeover happens. The AMF Panel will automatically switch back to the prime mains supply if it is restored and has been reliable for 2 minutes (This time is adjustable).
